Accessibility statement
What we have done to make this website usable by as many people as possible, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us about a problem.
This accessibility statement applies to this website, operated by Electrigent Ltd under the Dynamo Dental name.
We are not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We have chosen to follow their approach anyway, because a website for busy practices should work for everyone who needs it.
Our commitment
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. Our aim is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That means, for example, that you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings
- zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen or content being lost
- navigate the whole website using just a keyboard
- navigate the website using speech recognition software
- listen to the website using a screen reader
We have also tried to make the text as simple as possible to understand, and to explain engineering terms plainly. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
What we have done
- Keyboard navigation — every link, button, menu and form control can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone, in a sensible order.
- Visible focus — the element you have moved to with the keyboard is always clearly highlighted.
- Skip link — a "skip to content" link at the top of each page lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation.
- Text resizing — text can be enlarged to at least 200%, and the layout reflows on small screens, without loss of content or function.
- Reduced motion — animation is minimal, and is switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Alternative text — images that carry information have a text alternative; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form errors — when a form has a problem, a summary appears at the top and each field explains what needs correcting, in text rather than colour alone.
- No colour-only meaning — status, links and errors are indicated by text, icons or underlines as well as colour, and colour contrast meets the AA level.
- Semantic structure — pages use one main heading followed by a logical order of subheadings, landmarks, lists and tables with header cells, so that assistive technology can describe and navigate them.
- Consistent navigation — the menus, footer and contact routes appear in the same place on every page.
How accessible this website is
We believe most of this website is accessible. We are aware of the following areas that may not be fully accessible:
- Some PDF downloads supplied by manufacturers, such as user manuals or data sheets, may not be fully accessible. We did not create these documents and may not be able to change them, but we will help you find the information they contain if you ask.
- Some photographs of equipment may carry only a short description. If you need more detail about what a picture shows, please ask.
- Where we link to other organisations' websites, such as regulators and guidance publishers, we cannot make those sites accessible and their accessibility may vary.
- If we enable an embedded map or a third-party analytics consent message, those elements may be produced by another provider and may not fully meet our standard.
We check the website against these guidelines when we make changes to it, using a mixture of automated tools and manual testing with a keyboard and a screen reader. It has not been independently audited. Where an automated test flags something, we fix it or record it here.
What to do if you cannot access part of this website
If you need information from this website in a different format, such as large print or plain text, or if you find something you cannot use, please tell us through our Contact page. Tell us the page, what happened and what would help. We will consider your request and reply within ten working days.
If you cannot use the contact form, the telephone and email details on the Contact page are available as an alternative.
Reporting accessibility problems
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems not listed on this page, or think we are not meeting the guidelines, please contact us through the Contact page so that we can look into it.
Enforcement
The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, and that applies to us. If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on equality and human rights matters in England, Scotland and Wales.
Because we are not a public sector body, the Equality and Human Rights Commission does not enforce the 2018 accessibility regulations against us, but the Equality Act still applies.
Technical information about this website's accessibility
We aim for this website to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. Where it does not, the known limitations are listed above and we intend to address those within our control as the website is developed.
Preparation of this statement
